Start your holiday season with a visit to Marketfest! The festivities begin on Friday with shopping the Village’s unique shops and galleries, and a new pop-up shop in the Village featuring DIY gift wrapping. Kids are invited to a visit with Santa including cocoa and treats for all! The petting zoo returns! The Holiday Gift Shop in the Nickels-Sortwell House barn on Federal St., open on Friday through Sunday, has an assortment of artisan wares, foods, and goodies for holiday gifts. A display of wreaths decorated by local businesses is an anticipated feature. Saturday offers more shopping, a free raffle in each participating shop for restaurant gift certificates, children’s shopping at the library, a wreath-making demo, and Nickels-Sortwell House tours. In the evening, the Town Common hosts schoolchildren singing holiday favorites and the lighting of the town tree.
