Wiscasset Common comes alive with Summerfest activities on the 4th Saturday in July! Featuring music by a ragtime band, a Scottish piper, and other musical performers, the day’s events also include plants and baked goods for sale, children’s activities, hand-made wood products and toys for purchase, tables full of treasures (and trash), and the very popular jewelry and book stands where very desirable selections are very affordable!
Win a themed basket or one of the donated items from local businesses. And all pooches are welcome to take part in the dog show and parade - no dog goes home without an award!
If you time it right, have lunch at the Uncommon Cafe with burgers and dogs fresh off the grill!
For more than 40 years, Summerfest has been sponsored by the First Congregational Church (big white church facing Wiscasset Common) and all proceeds are distributed to local organizations which support health, housing, food insecurity, and education for people in need of some help.
