Palette Knife Painting Workshop

  • Wiscasset Creative Alliance PO Box 617 Wiscasset, ME 04578 USA (map)

Learn how to use a palette knife to move acrylic paint in a sculptural way to create expressive paintings full of depth and rich color! Each student will receive a kit of materials for class use (and to take home) to create their rendition of Hedrick's Head Lighthouse, including six acrylic paints, acrylic modeling paste, and a set of palette knives. The class project will be on a 8x8x1.5” deep birch wood panel.

Instructor Sarah Spencer is a talented mixed media artist with a degree in classical and studio art. She is an assistant to local ceramic artist, Alison Evans, but her medium of choice is painting! Her love for palette knife painting is a beautiful crossroads of these two worlds.

If the class is sold out, email to Annie@SouthportGeneralStore.com to be added to the waitlist. Cancellations less than 48 hours in advance are non-refundable.
