Plein air painters from Maine and beyond will descend upon Wiscasset and Maine’s Midcoast for six days in June to paint throughout Lincoln County, including Monhegan Island and Boothbay. On June 8, artists will be encouraged to paint in downtown Wiscasset, an excellent opportunity to watch a painting develop from start to finish!  This event has always drawn an enthusiastic audience; come and be part of the excitement. 

All juried work will been shown at an artist’s reception and awards ceremony on Saturday, June 15, from 5-7 pm, at the Maine Art Gallery, sponsor of the event. Cash prizes will be given to artists who win the exhibit awards. The public is invited to attend.  This is a great opportunity to showcase your talent and paint in new and exciting locations throughout midcoast Maine.
